But what is the point of faceoff "probabilities"? There is nothing to be gained from knowing who "might" win a faceoff during a game, is there??

I would think it's more about actual faceoff percentages and knowing who on the team you're playing against is good and who sucks. Then you can play your best center against him in certain situations
