well they won't be off for 10 days again as they play every other day this week before a back to back on sunday-monday so they better wake up by next game.

They'll be lucky to get 20 shots. But ya, let's call up 2 vets to sit in the press box for a week!

This is the first game in a real long time Laval has looked bad (since last year when they were on a push to the playoffs). Let's wait to see if this game is an outlier or the start of a trend before we start pointing at anything yet.

Also, Ouellet and Dauphin would not have made a difference. The entire team is out of sync tonight. They'd be looking bad with the rest of them.

Also keep in mind, they haven't played a game in a week. And they traveled today. They arrived to the arena just a few hours before the game.

Laval had some looks here and there in the 3rd that if they went in, it could have changed the game. But despite that, this was an ugly game by Laval. Chalk it up to rust and hopefully they pick themselves up and dust themselves off in time for next game. They got Belleville again on Wednesday.

1st road game of the year, rust, some players it's been more then 10 days since they last played. But they looked terrible, there was no flow to the game, they seem to slow down as the game went on. Just not very good. They once again face the sens wed night.

Going into the season some of us said we would have a goal scoring problem and currently we have 2 guys with more then 2 goals on the season. Vejdemo our best goal scorer (which says a lot right there) has 1 goal in the last 6 games (he's got 3 in 8 total) and RHP who has 3 in 9 total but 0 in his last 5. Someone on this team needs to be able to put the puck in the net consistently. Belzile should once he's back, so far he looks very rusty out there today but it's just his 2nd game.

Ok. I disagree with travel though. Laval is like a little over an hour away from Ottawa.

Someone please explain to me poehlings usage.. I see him getting very little first line usage... not a good way to grow a young star.. is his health really taking a turn for the worse after his concussion?

I don’t expect huge offensive numbers from him but he should be playing more often!
Another bust for Timmins,sooo surprised,...not!:sueme:
