Can they bring up the entire Marlies roster and play them against the B's instead?

And please do not play Mitch and Papi just to try and get Mitch his 100pts.

We need all our regulars healthy.
I want this too but apparently they have a limited number of callups

Rest everyone that make sense to rest. It's been a long grind.

If the team had a ring or two I can see letting them chase regular season stats, as it stands, they have yet to win a round and there is a real chance, like last seaaon: that a first round win could lead to the Finals.

Thus, full focus and preparation for the playofs begins now. They have home ice sewn up. Lose 2-1 to the Bruins and I am content.

Muzzin needs to get back into rhythm and other players like to stay warm. Others should be resting and ensuring no risk of injury. Get 100% ready physically and mentally for a hard, physical series.

There is no reward in risking injury in a meaningless game. Even if by some chance the Leafs could face the Bruins, I am still resting guys.

Game will start out sloppy and lazy and then somebody will run somebody and there will be sparks all over the place.

Cassidy said his plan is to play the full roster Thursday and then see about Friday

He's likely punting this game if the matchups are decided. We'll see after tomorrow night's results

meh, I see this game as a nothing burger. There's little at stake for either team, both will just want to avoid injury to their top guys.

Boston doesn't want to lose star players to injury, too. I think both teams end up treating this as a glorified scrimmage.

Personally, if it was up to me I'd run the below (don't care about the 2 points) - Assuming no more call ups

Forwards:
Abruzzese-Kampf-Robertson (20 odd minutes)
Clifford-Blackwell-Simmonds (20 odd mins)
Mikheyev-Tavares-Nylander (10 mins)
*******
Kerfoot-Matthews-Spezza (10 mins) rest Marner
OR
Kerfoot-Spezza-Marner (10 mins) rest Matthews

Defense:
Get about 40 mins in combination with Muzzin, Boosh, Holl, Lily

Muzz-Lily (10 mins)
Muzz-Holl (10 mins)
Muz Boosh (5 mins)
Lily Boosh (5 mins)
Lily Holl (5 mins)
Holl Boosh (5 mins)

remaining 20 mins: rest Rielly
Gio Brodie (10 mins)
Gio Lily (5 mins)
Brodie Boosh/Holl (5 mins)

Total ice time for D-men:

Muzz: 25 mins
Lily: 25 mins
Holl: 20 to 25 mins
Boosh: 20 to 25 mins
Gio: 15 mins
Brodie: 15 mins

If Draisaitl closes the gap in goals, I could see Matthew suiting up.
They clinched second already too. Wonder if he even dresses for both of his last games or only 1. They’re in the same boat as Toronto for resting their guys too and protecting them.
