That's just it. There's no rhyme or reason to it. Fans say the shooter selection is bad when it doesn't work. Fiddler made me raise an eyebrow, but he scored. I'd certainly always have Seguin in there because he's the team's best player, but there isn't anyone else left off who has to be in the shootout.

That Fids shootout goal was a microcosm of the entire game. Idk how we got 2 points there.

The Fiddler selection was terrible, as evidenced by him nearly turning in a downright embarrassing attempt and not even getting a shot on goal. Credit to Vern for his natural instincts kicking in after that moment of panic, but that's not the kind of guy who should be out there in the first place.
