I remember a bunch of people saying that, and it's why Tallinder won't be traded. I think they took the comment where Pete said he's a top 2 defenseman a little too seriously.

Why is he a healthy scratch today, and not Volchenkov if Pete trusts him the most ? You gonna tell me Pete trusts him more than Fayne, and Greene?

That's not that easy, someone has to sit no matter what, to me Volchenkov just can't be scratched today, Larsson needs to play, Salvador has the "C" word, Zidlicky is the PP specialist, Fayne and Greene are your best defence-men.

If Salvador wasn't the team captain, he would've sat. Tallinder is better than him.

So first everyone wants Tallinder or Volch out for Larrson. Then Larsson plays and we complain about how Tallinder is being benched? WTF? I'd sit Volchenkov personally, but Tallinder is nothing special. He looks like he's skating in sand out there.

Keeping the same forward lines is idiotic though, what the hell is Pete watching? Christ.

Ya I don't get this board sometime. Tallinder had his own cringe moments, even if he wasn't as bad as others yesterday. Everyone earned a place on the bench. If someone screws up tonight Tallinder will play and they will sit. Or they traded him :sarcasm:

Epic GDT is epic. I am a big fan of the gifs, and the get mad gifs. We need more gifs then needless bickering and complaining.

We need to find a real burner for the top six. That's the real weakness.

It's pretty sad that we're already falling back on the 'Sal can't be scratched because he's the team captain' seven games into his re-signing. When you have to use that as a reason so soon, that's a pretty good indicator it was a bad re-signing. Ideally you would hope he's good enough at least through the first year or two of the contract it isn't an issue.

I agree. We gotta get Clarkson back to the third line. He is the only player who can score fairly consistently who could be able to play against other third line players. One of Zubrus / Clarkson should be on the third line so we can role three lines consistently.

I feel like Tallinder has been better than Zidlicky, Volchenkov, and Salvador.

Yes, he has. Must be that we're showcasing someone and he can't come out.

Personally I don't think Lou would jeopardize the on ice product to showcase someone, even though that's how it sounds. DeBoer did his fair share of compliment Volch too.
