We are entering a golden era of Dallas hockey, if we aren't already in it. I don't think I have ever been more excited for this team than I am now, over the entire Cap era.

No one is expecting that, we just expect more 2nd periods than we have gotten. In 8 games we've had like what 2 or 3 really strong periods? For a "top team" that doesn't seem very good?

top teams in history have quite a wide variety of results in their first 8 games. just saying it’s too early to know anything about this team yet, or stress about it.

This. I do not see any “doom and gloom” posts here. Nothing wrong with pointing out issues you see with the team. I don’t see anyone calling for a rebuild, I think people just want more consistent effort.
