I like the Bruins road jerseys but I find with the new home jerseys it can be harder to locate the numbers on the backs of players but I watch a lot of hockey on my iPad at work so it might be different on a large tv .

Bergeron's absence alone is going to be the Achilles Heel of the team against the Carolina's, New Jerseys and Toronto's of the East. If #74 doesn't play to his strengths
offensively (25-30 goals) they are going to hit skids 3-4 times this year (3 straight losses type) and more than likely a 4-5 in one of those 3-4.

Maybe Sweeney fleeces Calgary and gets a trade for Lindholm mid season but that
probably involves #74.
While I agree that the loss of our top two centers definitely creates a challenge, I do not concede that it creates an Achilles heel, because that means it is a fatal vulnerability. It’s not fatal, we just have to overcome it. I take Boston over Toronto and their four man roster with lesser goaltending 10 times out of 10. I remember when Toronto was good, they had Cujo in goal and Mats Sundin. Outside of them, they are not a concern. They haven’t won a Stanley Cup since color tv was invented. Adding a high paid guy with a 70s porn star mustache will not make a difference. it doesn’t matter how many goals he scores, he can’t play 60 minutes a game. We don’t play games on paper, that’s why we strap on the gear. I’m not saying it will be easy, but I am saying there is a way ahead and I am definitely not worrying after game eight when we are 7-0-1. Carpe diem, LFG.

Sean Avery’s podcast for one was talking about it.

But I hope it’s because he was out for a night on the town and hungover. Otherwise I guess those videos of his teammates basically calling him a lazy slob are true.

But yes, when you are on a road trip and in the same hotel as the entire team it is extremely difficult to be late for a team meeting because people will come to get you to make sure you aren’t late. If you are late it’s a pretty damn good chance you didn’t make it back to the hotel the night before or you were just clocked out hungover and refusing to wake up.
As long as he didn't show up wearing the same clothes like Seguin did its NBD I guess.

I like watching JVR. He has no legs or wind but he has good hands and hockey sense. He looks gassed a lot of the time but if he can get his stick on the puck he usually makes an intelligent play .
The thing for me is he's been pretty physical and his effort level is high. I saw him last year with Philly and he just floated. Did nothing but stand near the net. I guess the culture change has made a difference and he's working hard here so it turns out to be a great Sweeney move given the cap limitations we had. I was wrong about him. I thought he'd be a bust.

Should have more points for how good hes looked on the PP.

He didn't look great in person against Anaheim when I went last week but none of the bigger guys did even the young ones Lauko and Geekie.

I just wish we didn't spend so much at the deadline last year as I think this is the year to add.

I've been pleasantly surprised with him after not knowing what to expect when he signed. He could have one or two last night. If he keeps this up, 25-30 goals with tips and cleaning up netfront garbage is possible.
