Tiebreakers - From NHL.com
1. The fewer number of games played (i.e., superior points percentage).
2. The greater number of games won, excluding games won in the shootout.
3. The greater number of points earned in games between the tied clubs. If two clubs are tied, and have not played an equal number of home games against each other, points earned in the first game played in the city that had the extra game shall not be included. If more than two clubs are tied, the higher percentage of available points earned in games among those clubs, and not including any "odd" games, shall be used to determine the standing.
4. The greater differential between goals for and against for the entire regular season.

Does not everyone enjoy having these back to backs where we have to play some of the best teams in the league?

Dallas needs to win tonight so hopefully they get it done. Believe. Wish I could watch more games this season. I haven't seen less Stars games this year than I have for a long time.

This should be a Timmy start. Kari was not impressive last night, and nor was the defense. I'm scared if they bring those habits back tonight.

"Fresh legs" like Kconn better be in too...

One thing I noticed last night was the top line was sparingly used in the third so hopefully they come out fast and firing.

Not a must-win, let's not do that bi-polar thing we always do. But it would be a REALLY REALLY helpful win.

Go Stars!

Not sure how you can say with 9 games remaining and out by 4 points that this game is not a must win.

We really need to get at least a point tonight.

Because this is probably the hardest game on the schedule left. We aren't going 9-0, and PHX and MIN aren't going 8-0. This one is definitely not a must-win. Nashville at home coming in after playing the night before is definitely a must win. St. Louis on the 2nd night of a back to back on the road is not a must win.

Because we need to finish like 7-2 or 6-3, not 9-0? This is easily our hardest game left. Not a must-win at all, but it's a HUGE boost if we do win.

One point is a huge win. Two points means we're the favorite over the loser of minny/phx

7-2 and 6-3 are very difficult to obtain. Every game matters. This game is a must win. Every game is because there is no time left. If we miss the playoffs, we won't blame it on this game but because of stupid losses to teams like Calgary and Florida we're in a position where we need to play like every game is our last.

We have 9 games remaining, plus a 4 games in 5 nights stretch coming up.

There are no games that we can afford to lose anymore.

Losing to Winnipeg, Calgary, Columbus etc etc has created the situation we're in now that we have to steal some of these games against the top teams.

Well yeah, I agree. This is one of our last real individual game tests. It's obviously a huge game. But I mean a game like yesterday is a "must win" - against a bad opponent at home, one of the games we NEED to take home to have ANY chance.

By tonight "isn't a must-win" I just mean our chances are still decent and alive even if we lose, it's OBVIOUSLY huge though. And I would REALLY like our chances going forward if we steal one tonight.

Except in reality, where we can still lose 2 or 3 games.

As long as we lose them in OT, I'm good.

Like I said. A loss in OT is a big win for us. A loss in regulation keeps us at about the same chance we have now. Win in regulation OR OT I'd think would make us a pretty good favorite to make it.

A win of any sort would be good, even if it came in a SO. We'd have to win 3 SOs to lose the ROW tiebreaker.
