Sucky loss. Guys have no idea what they're doing in the defensive zone anymore. Like losing Zub killed them (love the guy, but he ain't that good).

Only positive is seeing the guys tighten up and have their mental game on track after Branny went down. That can be a really hard thing to get over on the ice (although a few guys definitely shied away from the board for awhile afterwards).

We took dumb penalties and gave them a 2 goal lead to start the game. We came out completely flat with 0 urgency. DJ will spin it like we got unlucky which we did a bit but a bad start to the game once again bit us in the ass

Agreed. It seems they need to have everyone going to plan or everything going right to win. They really have a hard time with any adversity or pushback.

And that is really odd considering the entire mantra was building on character and accountability and all that jazz.
