After defeating the reigning stanley cup champions, the Colorado Avalanche, at their home ice the Kraken are headed to the Windy City to try and end this short two game road trip with a perfect record.
This one will be an early game starting at 11:00 a.m. pacific time and it will be against one of the teams completely devoted to the "suck hard for Bedard" race.
Though, so far the Blackhawks aren't fully showing that having an even record throughout their first four games.
The Kraken will be without Philipp Grubauer who got injured in that win against the Avs and have called up Joey D'Accord from the Firebirds,
The Blackhawks, on the other end, also lost their starting goaltender Peter Mrazek to injury and will most likely start Alex Stalock in net.

3 Keys to the game
1) Team defense
While Grubauer had to make a couple of tough saves in the first period against the Avs, the team played a very solid two way game having everyone on alert defensively.
Given that Martin Jones is a solid, but not spectacular goaltender helping him out defensively is needed cause he's not going to steal us games on his own, but will also reward you with solid outings, if the guys in front of him do their job.
2) Puck Movement / Offense
As we've seen this season the additions to the roster have helped us to generate more offense and push opponents a lot more into their own zone, forcing them to defend.
Having the puck, moving it well enough and creating offense would go a long way against a team like the Blackhawks, who aren't all that talented and should potentially be forced into mistakes if we do our part.
3) Keep the lines together
Since calling that timeout against St. Louis and changing the lines the team has looked way better and seems to have found some chemistry.
For that to keep on going Hakstol should keep those lines together unless there's an injury a player in need to rest up a bit.

Let's see if the team is able to keep on going the way they have been for those last five periods of hokey and are able to go 2-0 on this short road trip.
Hopefully the early start won't be a problem and Jones is able to give us a solid start to have a chance at winning this one.
Fun Fact:
With a win against the Blackhawks the Seattle Kraken would climb over the .500 mark and would do so for the first time in franchise history.
As always....
