Bernier's first career game and win was against Anaheim in London. Can't believe that was more than 5 years ago and he doesn't even have 50 games under his belt.
WTH are Oggi Sticks? Apparently, when the Yucks score a PP goal, you can print a coupon out for free Oggi Sticks off Oggi's website.
Watching the Yucks broadcast makes me glad when I get Bob and Jim. Seems like everything is sponsored by something on their games. "This Brian Hayward stupid comment brought to you by Drano, favourite drink of the Yucks broadcast team."
Games dressed as a backup do not count.
However, there are two different ways to become waiver eligible. The first is games played, which as you have mentioned he is not close to hitting. The other is years since first signing (and playing/counting towards) his pro contract. His pro contract did not come into effect until 2008-09. As a goalie he then has 4 years of waiver exemption, assuming he does not hit the games played criteria at any point in that time. Since this is his 5th season on a pro contract, he is no longer waiver exempt. Skaters only get 3 years, which is why Thomas Hickey was subject to waivers (spent 3 years on a pro contract). It's dated since signing first contract, and having it count (as in Voynov's year in the AHL at 19 does not count).
Here's the breakdown.

Gagne has had a real solid game...
Thanks for the explanation. Is he still considered a rookie or is he over that now?
still want to see 12-10-77 on the #2 line for a few games. there is instant chemistry every time those 3 get out there together. i dont understand why they keep trying to deny it
