Probably send Peterson to the AHL for now to save some capspace.

Peterson is back to the AHL or injured. He didn't play the entire third period last game.

Yeah could also be injury related. We'll find out later

Hopefully, one of these GD lines will click and we can settle this matter for a while. Good news that JRob is back. Will probably move Guri down with Benn and Rads and that could be a good line.

Pretty f***ed up Comeau comes back and then just bumps Peterson like that.

I'm not convinced he is better.

Comeau better be smashing guys through the boards tonight . We have been lacking physical play from what I’ve seen . Hard to argue that he should be pushing Peterson out though . Although some ahl time might not be a bad thing for the kid .

is peterson producing at a level so much higher that you'd risk losing comeau or kero on waivers? depth is easy to lose, not so easy to keep.

i'm excited as anyone to see peterson stay in the lineup, especially wanted to see him with jrob and let the high iq roll, i'm just not certain he's quite there yet.

With the team starting the year already using LTIR space i don't think send down someone saves caspace right ? Cap only gets calculated new daily if you can manage to fit everything under the cap before the season . IRC .

A couple of AHL games won't hurt Peterson though since both teams are on a homestand right now anyway

Based on his usage (PP time, OT time, etc). I get the impression Bowness likes Peterson. This decision was out of his hands I'd imagine, but I'd hope we see Peterson back up soon. He has puck skills that we desperately need, and always seems to be in the right place to create opportunities even if nothing has come from them really yet

So, tonight is a look at the Stars roster we expected all summer.

Neither would be claimed on waivers, especially not Kero.

They have an open roster spot. They don't have to waive anybody. Peterson going down is the usual rookie and down AHL/NHL thing teams tend to do on homestands when a rookie/waiver exempt player has hit a small wall.

Get him some AHL time to get his confidence back up .

This wall you speak of is affecting 90% of this roster right now to be fair

Don't mind Peterson getting sent down to get some bigger ice time and gain some confidence. Hopefully he can come back up and be a fixture in the top9.
