I also love the timing of this “3 game series”. Tampa is about as battle tested a team as you can face in ‘23, and to be exposed to them right before the playoffs is a bit of a blessing.

Which is why I had said that this is a Mini Playoff series that will give this young team the playoff-experience (as far as format goes) before the actual one begins.

I think that was in the second half of the season, but a little earlier than this.

I think the one you're talking about was the Hall OT winner on Cam Ward, which was on a very weak rebound that Cam Ward should have covered. I don't think anybody but Hall realized it wasn't covered.

I think that game was actually the night after the Tampa game I went to, where Eddie Lack played and stopped like 49 out of 52 or something for the win.

I'm looking at the schedule for that year and the only OT win we had after that Carolina OT win on February 18th was on March 23rd against Pittsburgh. We also lost in OT to Pittsburgh a week later, which wound up being our only loss in the middle of a 7-0-1 stretch that clinched us a playoff spot in game 81 of that season. I can't remember who scored the Pittsburgh OT winner, but that might have been the game where Blake Coleman was clearly lip read saying ''I f***ing own you'' to Crosby.

Looked it up, apparently it was Hall (from Nico) that also scored the OT winner on Pittsburgh in game 74 of that season. Was that the odd angle one? I gotta look it up and see if I can find it on youtube.

We did have a huge win against Carolina late in the year I'm pretty sure. I think Noesen scored the winner late? I could be wrong. Seems like ages ago.

Don't expect much, he's basically the safest NHLer you can imagine with defense + offense. He's a Lou throwback in that regard.

I wanted Carr but they're basically being held hostage by him at this point. They also haven't had a QB throw double digit TD's since 2019 with Darnold, Rodgers would easily break that drought unless he gets RKO'd week 1 which will probably happen with how star crossed this franchise is, lol. But yeah I'll take the Devils being this good

That second goal from Bratt the other night reminded me of one he had 2 or 3 years ago where he missed the puck so badly it barely caught the heel of his stick and had the goalie overreacting as the puck SLOWLY trickled in. It was so bad, even Bratt was laughing at himself. Anyone have a video of that saved?
