I watched the Sabres leafs game tonight and leafs were totally coasting all game so they won't be tired from the back to back. Bruins will have to bring that shutdown game again and NOT let up in the third.

The Boston Bruins will host their final Centennial Era Night to celebrate "Return of a Champion” (2001-present), presented by Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, on Thursday, March 7 during their home game against the Toronto Maple Leafs at 7 p.m. at TD Garden.

Following the departure of legendary players like Ray Bourque at the turn of the century, the Black & Gold looked to rebuild the team’s identity with a new leadership core. Fresh faces such as Patrice Bergeron and Tim Thomas joined forces with veteran skaters like Marc Savard and Zdeno Chara to set the standard of excellence for years to come.

Ahead of the game, the Bruins will host a pregame ceremony to honor the 2010-11 team that brought the Stanley Cup® back to Boston, ending a 39-year championship drought. The ceremony will be highlighted by special appearances from Bruins alumni with nods to Boston championship traditions.

Thursday’s game will also feature special in-arena contests and entertainment that will carry a “Return of a Champion” theme. In addition, the Bruins will wear their Centennial alternate jerseys for this special game. To view the full alternate jersey schedule, click here.

Also on Thursday night, ticketed fans will be able to collect the final mini pennant in a series of five, each of which will be given out at turnstiles at various Era Nights throughout the season.

To kick off the “Return of a Champion” celebrations, the Bruins hosted their fifth live recording event for the “Cue the Memories” podcast series, presented by Coors Banquet, on Wednesday, March 6 at the Kowloon Restaurant in Saugus, Mass. Episode five was co-hosted by Andrew Ference with special guests Patrice Bergeron and Claude Julien. Fans can listen to episodes of the "Cue the Memories" podcast series on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and YouTube.

Additionally, fans can shop an exclusive “Return of a Champion” merchandise collection at the ProShop powered by ’47 and online at BostonProShop.com for a limited time only. The ProShop powered by ’47 will be open all week long, Sunday to Saturday from 12-6 p.m., including one hour postgame on gamedays.

Tonite is a real preliminary first round match up test. First, Toronto while being a very good hockey club should come out hard.... and if not then I will continue to consider that team still not ready for SC Contending spot.

Then, like said up here, Toronto coming hard, means Boston will need to be ready from start to finish. Hope Sway in net, he is Boston's man this year.

My Prediction - Boston is winning this game. Sway coming out hard, ready, poise and will lead to the win. Let's go boy.

Curious to see who shows up for the pre-game ceremony.
Doubt it’ll happen as it’s probably not the time or place but would be cool if they announced/hinted Chara’s number retirement for some time next year. Have to think it’s coming sometime soon with Bergy a year or two behind him.

Would be a cool moment in front of the others from 2011.

I'm here from Moncton, New Brunswick for tonight's game as well as Saturdays matinee vs the Pens. Super pumped to be back in Boston! Best city in the world, best sports team as well. TD garden is always electric. LFG and pump the Leafs.

Go get'm eh!
