Suter - Hakanpaa really is nightmare fuel for their inability to get the puck out of the zone, their propensity pinch at the wrong times, and their lack of footspeed to get back in time to prevent odd man rushes.

We acquired the perfect player for our team and somehow have put out a worse D group. It’ll probably be fine since we’re playing San Jose, but good god those bottom two pairing offer essentially nothing with the puck, and that’s not good enough against good teams.

The bottom two pairings only make sense if the top 4 are going to interchange between partners and they just have Suter and Hakanpaa paired because they're left and are gonna just go out when the other two pairs need a rest. Though I know that Suter will still somehow end up with 22 minutes of TOI tonight, lol.

They need to find someone to play with Lindell. If not Tanev, then who? No Lindell pairing has been particularly good this season. Lindell - Suter is the least bad. I don’t think weve seen Suter Hakanpaa for an extended period this season.
