Emphatic win tonight. Granted we probably SHOULD have won this game anyway, but the manner in which we did it was extremely impressive.

Carlo is gonna be fine. He got hit on the flat part of his arm. Could have been worse...

This is the first time the Bruins have gained ground on the lightning through the duration of this point streak.

That’s how good they’ve been.

And, even if it was on the back end of a back to back- that win was impressive. They had their way with TB.

For my money, playing without our 30 goal guy washes with their back to backs.

Absolute top notch showing for the Bruins. And with the Maple Leafs getting absolutely pulverized in Long Island, the gap between second and third in the Atlantic widens. Hope the Bruins can keep it going and not fall victim to a trap game against New Jersey.
Wait a minute now, didn't we get the message from the Toronto fans that the Cup Parade route thru Toronto is already set?!?!?:sarcasm::laugh:

Hopefully it’s just a bruise for Carlo. He has been a difference maker all year and we can’t afford to go into the playoffs without him again.
Hopefully. Seriously though - even USA Hockey allows a player to play with a cast as long as it is able to be completely covered by the players glove. Just put a cast on it and get him a glove a couple sizes bigger and throw him back out there. :)

Last 2 games dominate victories over Sharks & Lightning. Great offensive teams shutdown.

No Pasta, no Miller, no Cehlarik. Lot less turnovers.

Not true. Statistically better chance than any other position in overall standings.

Problem is that the most recent winners of the President's trophy have not made it past the conference finals since Chicago won both it and the Stanley Cup back in 2012-13. In fact, more often than not, they have fizzled out in the second round. Additionally, the team that had the highest number of points in NHL history to win the President's trophy didn't win the cup. That team was the 1995-96 Red Wings, who were an absolute wagon, had the highest number of wins in NHL history and had a record that was better than most NBA teams outside of the SuperSonics and Bulls. I find that point extra relevant considering Tampa appears to be on the same points trajectory of those aforementioned Red Wings and could possibly end up with 60+ wins as well. Granted, they are also on a similar trajectory as the 76-77 Canadiens, who had the highest regular season point total recorded in 132 so there's that.
