Well well. Maybe now folks can stress less after the team takes a night off in a meaningless road game. The pessimism before this one was out of control.

The Bruins aren't a great team. But they are a good one, trending to very good when they're at their best, and they can take it to anybody on a given night. Would have been genuinely shocked if this was a game they stunk in. Instead, they taught the mal-adjusted Leafs another lesson and showed that the ability to play hard and well and capitalize on their opportunities is still very much there. Happy days.

The season is a long long grind. Don't forget it.

Great win! It is indeed less about talent and more about will: show-up, compete, and you have a chance to win. I dunno if they’ve been trolling us or what (most likely that you can’t compete at your top-level for every stretch of the season), but I just hope they can show-up and compete consistently come playoff time. If they can they have a shot. Go Bruins!!!!

Last 3 games of our season gonna be against non playoff teams probably. Not ideal

At this rate we much prefer playing the good teams

BRUINS are 3-0 vs the Laffs so far this season. Hopefully, in a few days, they will be 4-0. Hey, Matthews, who's your daddy?

question is consistency with effort.. Do they continue to build on this, or revert tomorrow.
They played a very good game.

But they have a half dozen holes in their lineup, and their approach. No predicting which hole will spring a leak, or perhaps all six simultaneously.

They need a great deal of help to get anywhere at all this season.

it's a transition/bridge year. As long as I accept that, it's house money.

That doesn't mean I don't want to rid the casino of present management. And ownership.

They won a %&$#-load of puck battles tonight, especially along the wall. It was refreshing to see.

Brazeau has changed the whole complexion of the 4th line with his puck protection and reach. A lot more effective on the forecheck.

I'd like to see them leave JVR - Geekie - Frederic together for a bit. I think that is the best 3rd line combo they've had this year.

If Jake Debrusk played even most of his games as hard as he did that one, he'd already be extended instead of on the trade block.

I wouldn't be against running Swayman tomorrow night vs. McDavid and Co. Strong game tonight his confidence will be high. The only goal changed direction off Wotherspoon's stick (Tavares was clearly aiming high glove side). They have 4 games this week give Ullmark the 3rd and 4th games. Good conditioning for the playoffs.

Load management and flicking of the switch in showdown theory holds. When fully engaged Bs can turn it on and will rarely be outworked.

If not for several plays by Benoit this could have been ugly. Only one past Sway seemed like a Don Cherry deflection. Great showing.

Maybe their best game since December, IMO.

Gut check and they responded.

Also….not saying this one game means anything for either team long term…..but definitely not sold on Toronto going deep.

Average goaltending….probably below average defense.

Not a recipe for playoff success.
