The Coyotes head to Staples Center (Crypto.com Arena if I have to be correct) tonight to take on the LA Kings in the first of three matchups between the two teams this season.

The big question for tonight: where will the offense come from? Through 5 games, the Coyotes have been held to just 12 goals but hold a 3-2-0 record thanks to the stellar play of Karel Vejmelka and Connor Ingram.

Who's Hot:
Clayton Keller (3+3) and Nick Schmaltz (2+4) are tied for the team lead in points, both picking up where the left off last season. The powerplay has been a bright spot so far, converting at a 29.2% clip, good enough for 7th in the entire NHL, however, one of the Cotyotes best weapons on the PP has been placed on the IR after Jason Zucker went down last game.

Who's Not......

I like the Crouse, Cooley, Maccelli line.
2 goals from this line tonight.
I'll be honest, there's no project lineups that don't have Zucker/Carcone in them as of right now. I was just kinda throwing things at the wall.

2 goals? Naw a hat trick for Cooley!
3 assists for Maccelli, 1+1 for Crouse (goal is off his ass).

i'd swap Kerfoot and O'Brien.

Kerfoot - Bjugstad - Jenik
O'Brien - McBain - Boyd

Not a lotta skill on the 3rd and 4th line but that's a lotta grit and toughness. Heavy cycle games from those two lines.

Gotta get Crouse going in this one. Maybe playing with Cooley will help. Maccelli has been picking it up so gotta future Crouse will follow along?

This is a good doubleheader with the dbacks

I forgot to add a note that says this game is far too late for the both of us, but then again, I have a mens league game at 10:50 so maybe I'll catch the end of this.
Glad to hear you refer to it as men’s league, as opposed to beer league. I’m still far to competitive, even though I skate against guys 40 years (and less) my younger, to call it beer league!
