Here’s how I understand it works: Once you flip the lever over to LTIR money, you’re essentially able to spend over the cap but only up to the about of LTIR space available (Dadonov’s remaining cap hit). Saving a bit of salary means consuming a bit less of LTIR space.

I thought the Boston OT loss was a bit more depressing. It felt like they turtled after the Lindell goal and I was frankly expecting Boston to tie it and win in OT (it went to shoot out of course)

This was back to back, 3 in 4, and they actually played even with the Rangers, but had little to no puck luck. 3 Wood gave up a scrambly goal as we have seen before recently, and one "undeserved goal" is usually enough to sink any team.

The other thing about last night.....I actually agreed with all the calls the refs made and ignored, which is a bit unusual for me, and I suppose, the typical fan.
