It wasn't a bad call to make. Probably would have been worse to let go.

I'd guess Dean Morton is refereeing, but last time I accused Dean Morton of not calling anything, they called like 15 penalties

Under USA Hockey rules, the play would have (well should have, lots of refs wouldn't bother calling it) been blown dead for Chipchura being guilty of a crease violation, so I'm also inclined to blame him.
