We could also switch Vermette to the LW since his Centering skills (besides faceoffs) has weakened. Less responsibilities and Line 3 or 4 would be okay for a NMCer. He can also move up if there are injuries (until the injured returns)

Martinook - Richardson - Doan should be the 4th line, ideally. It's pretty hard to willingly slot Vermette in above that. Hope for an injury to a Chicago center I suppose.

Sorry, Should have added Off-topic. I was thinking next season or after a trade (that's what I get for reading too many threads at one sitting)

I would prefer to see Vermette sit out a few games if we had a viable alternative.
