Bruins and Rangers both have 52 points, but the Blueshirts have 4 games in hand.
Last 10 games, Rangers are 8-2-0 (16 pts), Bs are 6-1-3 (15 pts), so both trending upward.

Derek Stepan, will not play Thursday. He sustained an upper-body injury in the first period Tuesday of a 3-0 loss to the New York Islanders at Madison Square Garden, did not practice Wednesday and is listed day-to-day.

@AGrossRecord: So #NYR lines sans Stepan: Nash-Brassard-Zuccarello Kreider-Miller-St. Louis Hagelin-DMoore-Stempniak Glass-Hayes-Fast

AV confirmed Cam Talbot (4-3-1, 2.06 GAA, .929 Sv%) will get the start.

This GDT makes me hungry.

Go get 'em, boys! Pasta power!

Now all I need to do is figure out a way to integrate the Clodefish into my avatar....

Personally while I think the Clodefish is cute, I think Chara's presence plus this newfound energy of Pastrnak are the biggest difference. Even with Charlie coming out with those much needed comments!

his +3 in the last game wasn't good enough for you?

you must be thinking of somebody else.

surely you don't mean this guy: www.nhl.com/ice/player.htm?id=8476191&docid=TeamPlayerBio:43411

14:55. 14:55. 14:55.

If Julien only trusts a defensive defenseman to play those few minutes even with Chara in the box a while during the game, and all of those PKs....

His +3 is likely a fortunate result of being on the ice with that Krejci line which was incredible, and Krug.

I mentioned before, if he isn't fighting/hitting he shouldn't be playing. He gives us very little else besides OK defense, which we can mostly get from Bart or Morrow. He's better than Trotman at least.

wow. wow. wow.

you probably are one of the dudes that wants Eriksson cut, Soderberg traded and Lucic demoted, too.

http://www.nhl.com/ice/playerstats....sition=S&country=&status=&viewName=plusMinus#

don't click on that.

Actually I've been saying Soderberg and Eriksson have been two of our top 3 or 4 forwards all year. Lucic was inconsistent but he's one of my favorites.

Miller plays on the 3rd pairing against 4th lines and riding Krug and Soderberg line for that +/- rating. +3 last game alone because of Krejci line. It's a flawed stat.

Paille is a -8. Our worst defensive forward by far. :sarcasm:

;)

Wouldn't it be one hell of a statement to win 5 in a row and in the process, beat Pittsburgh, Tampa, and the Rags? Win this one, smack Columbus around Saturday, and then a great 3 game road stretch of Dallas, Colorado, and the Isles. If you come out of that without a regulation loss, this team is back. And I honestly could see that happening.

Kick their ass tonight. Beat em to a pulp. They get to face Talbot tonight, make it happen.
