That is the correct take, sorry but you are way off base. Horrible defensive play, every coach would tell you that, you never try and deflect the puck. Try running that by any goalie and see how they answer that, you may learn a thing or two from their perspective. Try asking a coach too, they would look at you very strange, yes engage but do not deflect it.

No, it is a terrible take. I was a Tier I Midget coach and I would never tell a defenseman that. Miller played that correctly.
