Didn't like the hit on Abdelkader, I don't think he was close enough to the puck to allow that. But really they could have recovered with the right amount of effort on that play. Unfortunate.

I wish we'd shake off the rust.

Hate to break it to you but that isn't rust. We just don't have very many skilled players anymore. Outside of Datsyuk, Zetterberg, and on select nights Franzen really no one on this roster can create their own offense on a consistent basis. Hopefully Nyquist and Tatar can change that next year.

Remember early in the year where Babcock was openly worried about wearing them out with the high minutes. I think we are seeing the result this last couple weeks. They just don't look as sharp as we need them to be right now. Franzen has been our best forward for the last little bit and he doesn't even think he is playing well.

Even so If Datsyuk doesn't stop skating, there was a good chance he could have disrupted the Calgary player before he got the pass off.
