A couple of weeks ago, being the dumbass that I am, I bet $100 on Toronto to beat the Coyotes. The odds were so awful that my earnings would have only been about $20 but I figured it would be an easy $20 so I placed the bet and the Coyotes won. Unbelievable!!! Toronto media is still talking about that game and how that was even possible. I thought the same. Earlier in the season I bet $100 on the Lightning to beat Buffalo and the Sabres won. It's very easy to lose money on sports betting even if it's super obvious who's going to win. Needless to say, my sports betting has slowed down. Don't even get me started on parlays. There is always a team that f*cks you over every single time. Parlays pay much more but your betting on three scenarios.

Parlays are what draws people in. They see one guy online hit a 6-team +10000 parlay and think they can do it too. That's where sportsbooks make their money.

TBH I haven't noticed him much since his first game. Certainly hasn't hurt us but I'd say unless we're tanking again I'd rather not have a complete black hole offensively on the roster in the current league.

Hi. Just visiting. Not trolling. Is Barzel someone you guys would have considered at 3? Isles were very fortunate in that draft. We entered the draft with no first rounders. Somehow traded G Reinhart and a later pick for Barzel and Beauvillier. Just Chiarelli luck. But if you revisit that draft and could make the decision, what would you have done?

Basically everyone in the hockey world had the group after Eichel in some order of Strome/Marner/Hanifin. I don't think taking Barzal at 3 was ever on the table.

Barzal was talked about around here a decent amount if we finished in the bottom half of the top 10.

I remember Barzal having injury issues in his draft year. He wasn't on our radar.

Maloney wanted Provorov. Tippett wanted to trade the pick for Hamilton. Scouts wanted Strome.
