Subban was one of the reasons I watched the Habs.
Before he was called up years ago I was at the Cedar Park Center in Texas (Guy Boucher was the coach) and I saw PK in his rookie season in the AHL. I could see then and there he would become a great NHLer. Of course Bergevin screwed that up by trading him.

That second line. I am in awe.

Weirdly enough, they've actually been productive lately.

Evans: 3 pts in his last 5 games. 5 pts in his last 10 games.
Armia: 3 pts in his last 5 games. 4 pts in his last 10 games. Of those 4 pts, 3 of them are goals.
Dadonov: 3 pts in his last 5 games. 6 pts in his last 10 games. All assists.

They've been about as productive as the top line of Cole-Nick-Kirby the last several games.

So for some effed up reason, Dadonov-Evans-Armia has been working lately.

And Dadonov getting points on the board more consistently is a positive for Montreal heading into the TDL.

Matter of principle.

Some early Subban gifs and memes on HF. Sadly, several were lost on account of being hosted on sites that no longer exist or where hosting services expired.

I've thus assembled all of the ones I could find on this site, reformatted them and hosted them all on a site that is likely to preserve them for a long time. Hope you enjoy this little trip down memory lane.

Let's begin with the Triple Low Five.

Damn I miss MiG, thanks for that collection, so many times did I laugh seeing another one of his creation out of nowhere, and most of the time, spot on.

The Subban night thing is bizzare. Love the guy, he should have retired in the CH sweater, but it's still weird considering he was run out of town by the village idiot.

Can't wait to see 24 minutes of Wideman and 4 minutes of Barron. MSL... Hmm.

It makes perfect sense -- they want to make things right now that PK has retired. And PK is a good sport and accepted it, instead of holding a grudge.

Read a piece from Marco over at MHN yesterday talking about the Habs current development of their top prospects.

Barron's usage since being called up this year vs how MSL used him last year after his call up was brought up in that piece and how his usage as changed this season vs last season after being called up and I agree with what Marco said on the topic.

Here's the link to the MHN piece if anyone wants to give it a read. The Barron stuff is in the "Growing Pains On Defence" section and I can't disagree with any of it really.

Subban 352 games played for Habs vs Plekanec 1000 games ... Hype rules...
Know when to refrain from posting absolute BS. Especially you, who always cheers on the team, should know better than this.

Subban was a huge part of some of our biggest victories this century. Especially in the playoffs, where he outshone almost all of his peers.

I loved him as a player, will NEVER accept his trading away by Bergevin, and will always regret not watching him wearing a Habs jersey for longer.
