Nashville is close to a playoff spot, so this is a big game for them. I don't expect much from Montreal.

Your math is a little off. He played 434 regular season games with the habs. 55 playoff games where he scored 38 total points.

Subban won a Norris with the habs. Was a finalist for another. He led the habs in points when they made the ECF in 2014. Was top 3 in points in three of the 4 years he played under Therrien. He got fans out of their seats and made the game a treat to watch. He was one of the best d-men in the league during those seasons. Calling it hype is super disingenuous.

He's also 10th for most regular season points, assists and goals as a Habs d-man despite only playing 6 seasons with the team.

He's 7th all time in most playoff points as a hab.

Accounting for D-men that played more than 100 games with the habs, he's 4th all time PPG by a Dman in the regular season. He's second all time in PPG in the playoffs as a defenseman for the habs org.

He loved the team. He loved the city. He involved himself in the community. He was more than a hockey player for the city of Montreal, arguably even the province of Quebec.

No matter how you slice it, Subban is one of the best habs d-men of all time.

The night is well deserved.

The Subban trade years ago was one of the big reason I lost my Habs fandom for a while. He meant more to the city than only the stats and the points suggest. Very charismatic and fun player to watch in a team that struggled to do offence. I hate ceremonies, but I will definitely be watching this one.

After successfully violating the gate security system, the scene cuts with them walking into the front yard, gasoline tank in hand.

PK can’t believe it, he starts running off the ice, he needs to stop Gally and Pacs…but not so fast PK, there’s more;

Coup de gras, PK’s parents announce via the titantron that PK is adopted. His life is a lie.

PK is in shambles. The crowd begins the YES! chant until PK gets off the ice.
