There are pro sports teams which fire coaches after extended periods of uninspired play? It's not Maurice's fault that the players aren't executing. Maurice didn't allow four goals this period. If the Jets had McDavid, they'd be higher in the standings. They don't have a McDavid. Let them get a McDavid/franchise player or three before passing judgment.

It's hard to judge a coach who doesn't have complete control over his roster. Who knows what he could accomplish if given free rein.
