Because this team is soft and nobody's gonna do anything about it. But you don't think enforcers are necessary and that hitting doesn't matter, lol.
Having someone punch a guy for drilling a guy in the back doesn't prevent the guy from getting drilled in the back.

Enforcers have never prevented anything in the history of hockey.

It will the next game. Plus look at Kostin, he got knocked out of the game by Guda and isn't playing in this one.

You seem to have issues understanding the simplest of concepts, lol.

If a guy like Kostin is this big bad protector he should have been the safest guy on the ice right? Everyone should have been scared of him...

Enforcers never prevented cheap shots and it's stupid to think they did.

Enforcers existed to lay the pain on opposing players for laying big legal hits on your stars.

What deterred cheap shots back in the day was sending out your fourth liners with orders to injure the other team's stars. Knowing that the other team was going to spear, knee, cross-check, and slash your top liners is what kept the cheapshotting in line.

If a guy put a legal hit on Gretzky, McSorley would fight him. If a guy put a cheap shot on Gretzky, McSorley would fight him but someone was gonna return it in kind to the other team's star.

A dumbass like Gudas will gladly collect a few million dollar paycheck for putting a guy out for a month and eating maybe one good punch in a fight. If the year was 1987 someone would've fought MacTavish before he got off the ice but you can bet one of Zegras or Vatrano would be out of the game before the next period ended.

Nothing deterred cheap shots back in the day. They were FAR more rampant than they are now.

I get Ray likes the right side... but it gets awkward on the PP when he's passing to a lefty on the point and neither guy is a threat to shoot since they're crossed up handedness. Like I'd rather have Ray on the point and Ghost in the circle at that point.

They didn't call anything on the ice right? So a review would have to overturn a no goal call?
