So I finally got around to watching the full game and I thought DeKeyser was very good. He's a very, very good skater for a guy who's 6'3 and I don't think he's got the strength to really use it yet. Very good hockey sense too. His passing was a little off the mark, but making smart NHL-level passes doesn't happen overnight. It'll come with time. More than a few times I thought "Smart play by Kronwall" and it was 65 and not 55.
If he gets up to about 200 or 205 (I think he's actually about 180-190 right now), he'll be really good. You could tell he didn't have the strength to play an aggressive game out there, but he has that element in the toolbox and I think we'll see it with time.
