Frederick was like nearly 4 feet from the crease when he made contact with Lyon...Unfortunately this can happen when Lyon tries to play the puck away from the crease.

He was out of the crease and went into his path. Skaters are allowed to plan a path outside the crease and if the goalie enters it it's on them.
