I agree wrt Cooley. I think he outplayed Keller.

I think they should put Cooley back on the first PP and Macelli on the 2nd

Schmaltz and Keller have been terrible 5v5 all year. You need your first line to produce.

Tkachuk had 52 goals in one season and could kick the crap out of any four NHLers you want to pick today, line them up, and he could take them one after the other. Roenick had more transcendent star power than any NHL player player today. If you mixed Nate MacKinnon with Trevor Zegras and also Tom Wilson you’d maybe get close.

I just loved the way Roenick skated as well you could always tell it was him with out looking at th3 numbers

Yep, they worked harder yesterday and when the good teams work really hard, it's impressive to watch.

The good news is that we're starting to get there. In the past, when a good team works as hard as they did yesterday, the shot totals were something like 40-10, now it's 40-30, so we're making progress.

Keep adding quality player after quality player and we'll get there.

Hayton isn't a 1C, but he plays much better with Keller/Schmaltz than any of our current C's (outside of McBain who hasn't been tried yet)

I believe Hayton was nursing an injury early in the year, which hurt his production and of course the line in general wasn't as effective as they were last season, but they were making strides just as Hayton went down. Keller & Schmaltz need a digger/go to the net guy and Hayton does it better than Kerfoot/Cooley/whoever else they tried between Keller/Schmaltz

Penalties were what they were, Bob should have been called for embellishment, Cousins should have been given five and a game, he also should have been prepared for the inevitable hit he was certain to receive. Zucker could have put a LOT more into that hit.

Yotes are getting there, not there yet and still highly questionable for a playoff birth.

I find Keller and Schm0ltz to be very disappointing, uninspiring, leaving me wondering .. whats all the hype for? they both shrink away when needed. its the other guys carrying the load.

I've been concerned about them (should we ever make the playoffs), for some time now. Last night actually gave me hope. No they didn't put up the points, but I feel like they handled the physicality better than I would have expected.
