I know. But everyone sucked on D last year. Redmond has been killing it in RCH this year. Definitely better than Tennyson from the games I’ve seen.

If we don't have 6 defensemen healthy tonight, I'g go with the two main pairings, subbing Guhle in whenever one is in the box or needs a bit of a rest. Tennyson would not see the ice unless we are down to 3 defensemen

Tennyson needed a few NHL games to get up to speed and overcome his fear of being fired into the sun. He'll be fine now. Someone should check out the rocket boosters just in case.

Phil makes a personal choice to play Mitts and Thompson in overtime, over top 3 lead goal scorer and previous ot hero Skinner.

I mean, I do like giving rookies their shot in OT even if they did suck, but you got the get Skinner at least 2 shifts out there.
I don’t hate rookies getting a chance either. But Mitts was hot garbage the whole ot. And Skinner is a guy you are about to pay 8+, use one of your best stickhandling and skating players on huge ice.
But I’m sure there was a good reason. I just want to hear it.

EDIT: I now see he finished with 21 tied for 13th all time with Glenn Anderson...Wayne Gretzky is #1 all time wth 50...2nd place is Mario Lemieux with 40...The closest active player is Ovie...He ranks 11th with 22 hat tricks.

I've wondered for some time if Skinner is nursing some sort of injury. Not sure if that could be it.
