Time for Frolik to come out with a statement game - raise his trade value and allow Bergevin to pull off another Scandella/Kovalchuk like flip at the deadline ;).

Looks like we're missing Armia, Toffoli, Staal, Caufield, and Chiarot

Yeah I'm not optimistic about tonight, coming off the layoff, all the players out, and the Oilers on fire.

Funny when Paul "waiver claim" "pk specialist" Byron has twice the career-goal totals and more points as Phil "offensive dynamo" Danault.

For what it's worth, Lehkonen also has more goals, and in less games, than "Not a Defensive Forward" Danault.
This has to be in contention for the most disingenuous post of the year. Eric Staal has more career goal totals than Suzuki and Kotkaniemi, he should get first line ice time. Let's also trade for Marleau and have him on the first line because he has more career goals than anyone else.

Don't even want to get into more goals in less games when it's just factually incorrect and all our centers have been bad at scoring goals.

Loved the GDT, @sandviper!

With no Habs hockey for over a week now, there has been a lot of sniping on the forum. Has felt like our own Suez Canal.

Unlike Ever Given, we’re hopefully going to repurpose that energy. GHG!

Frolik only has 388 days between games - minor rust that a little WD-40 can take care of

Well I'm looking forward to finally seeing Frolik. Though, unlike many fellow Hab fans I will be patient with him, given how long he's been out.

He clearly should have been playing in Laval this whole time.

Danault doesn't want to play with Byron and Lehkonen. Getting put with them is what lead to his comment about not wanting to be only a "defensive forwards" and he was back with Tatar/Gally before the playoff were done...
Ohhhhhh so we cater to Danault the offensive wonder. I see. It's probably true too. PUKE

Nobody likes to see it but Tatar-Danault-Gallagher are playing very good hockey together, you need them against McDrai.

I would have switched Suzuki and KK though until Toffoli returns, KK deserves it and Suz gets PP time, anyway.
No, the habs don't need Tatar-Danault-Gallagher against anyone. They need their offensive lines to produce against other lines for the other 40 minutes McDrai aren't on the ice.

Just the same old tired rethoric that we've been fed for years.

I think this will be a pretty disjointed game, and it probably won't be much fun to watch. I expect alot of mishandled passes, and executions just being a bit off with the layoff.

Hopefully, the habs don't need much more than one game to get going. Staal mentioned how Buffalo started okay, but then never found their footing after covid. I'm not saying the habs season is toast or anything, but I wouldn't be surprised if it take a few games to get going again.

You would think Oilers would be better off splitting McDavid and Draisaitl up but any time they have attempted it never worked. Stacking them up on the same line seems to working now, they are both tearing it up but for how long? Once they run into a good defensive team in the playoffs that will be the end. I'm surprised they haven't tried to spread out the talent a little and work on having two solid offensive lines.

Good luck boys, I will likely watch part of it.

I am smelling a L for our boys. I think all that time off is going to make em rusty

The objective is not to score a lot of goals, it’s to score more goals then the opponents. GA matters. They are elite at that for the 3rd year in a row.

He sure is. Thanks for beating Toronto.

no worries. It’s good to shut their fan base up. U think they won a cup or 2 in my life. Both our franchises have lost more cup finals then they have been to . Nothing to brag about but at least we get there
