The McDavid Show is rolling into town and the Habs are going to have to put their thinking caps on to solve this one:

Ok, maybe the thinking caps aren't a good idea. This is going to take the use of a different kind of muscle to solve the McDavid Conundrum, so Marc collected his three main centers to solve the riddle; Danault, Suzuki and Kotkaniemi.

With his top guys at the table, the main question is how can the Habs beat the Oilers? 1-2-2 forecheck? Double team McDavid? Practice winning faceoffs for an hour and transition to set shooting plays?

Habs are 2-1 this season vs the Oilers but a lot has changed since their last meetings. In all seriousness, containing their superstars is going to be a tall order, but moving forward, this is the sort of adversity the boys will need to overcome.

Probable line-up based on practice lines:

Drouin - Suzuki - Anderson
Tatar - Danault - Gallagher
Byron - Kotkaniemi - Lehkonen
Frolik - Evans - Perry (fixed)

Edmundson - Weber
Kulak - Petry
Romanov - Mete

Habs salary cap situation getting pretty dicey.

Not sure what to expect tonight, but happy to have Habs hockey back!

So, are they keeping him out of the lineup for that reason only? This is not the 76-77 Habs here, not the time to get high and mighty.
He’s supposed to be playing was simply late on the ice. Toffoli won’t be back till the weekend though

After a full week without hockey, the Habs are still 4th in the division with 2 points and 6 games in hand on both Calgary and Vancouver. Edmonton just played last night in overtime and won against Toronto....Habs should get that one

We've been patiently waiting......and waiting........and waiting for the last week and I hope the players are up to task ahead and used that week to get ready physically and mentally, it's going to be a very hard schedule for the next few weeks.

Ducharme said Toffoli might skate tomorrow, he may end up skating in solitary instead. Or he may come to the practice a little later (similar to how Perry got on after the rest of the group yesterday).
