God, I hate Doc's play-by-play style. Sounds like he's telling a kids' story.

I don't mind it. I grew up listening to Gary Thorne and Bill Clement on ESPN2 back in the 90s. Late at night, I'd pretend that I went to sleep and then sneak hockey games on mute or very low volume so my parents wouldn't hear.
