With all the blown leads, missed opportunities, and losses to shit teams, they are still right there with the pack in the east. If Gallant is here to stay this year they don't make the playoffs unfortunately.

Trouba is a train wreck. He needs to sit until healthy. Bring up Welinski. Miller needs press box time. He looks so lost out there. If the puck isn’t right in his zone of influence he just stands alone 15 feet in front of Shesterkin watching the play. Start Hajek an Jones behind Lindgren on LD. Blais needs 14 days in Hartford.
There's definetly something wrong with Trouba this year and it affects everything when he has the c on his chest BUT the team has to figure out what to do with Panarin. Not saying he doesn't have crazy talent. He does but he just floats out there way too much.

It’s roster that needs to change. We need a Avery type on this team. Some spark. I hope they trade for a guy like Domi or Barbashev. Some nasty on this team would be nice. Change the culture of this mentally soft group
That was Blais, and we paid a premium for that, but Subban pretty much ended his career

Step 1: communicate he’s taking a reduced role
Step 2: see if he wants out. If not, step 3
Step 3: give him that reduced role
Step 4: it either wakes him up or he eventually requests out

Players want to be wanted. He’s a good player, but let him know the team will be heading in a different direction. One that will involve him and his style of play less.

If Chytl scores on the backdoor pass, which was gift wrapped, we are not going into OT.

I think you start with a new coach. See if he can right the ship. If certain players are still playing like shit, then trade, buyout, do whatever needs to be done to be rid of them.

If Kak and Laf are still stinking up the joint, get rid of them by the trade deadline.

Trouba, count your losses and just buy him out next season if he doesn't want to be moved.
We had Quinn with most of the team, nothing changed before and same result now.

They will never hire him because of what happened in Chicago. He's exactly what they need though.

Heard the exact same thing a year and a half ago about how Gallant was exactly what they needed. Nobody knows what they need. Most of these coaches are the same guy and their whole reputation is based on if they have a good or bad roster and if their goalie plays well or poorly.

That play in the third where Laf was coming up the right wing with the puck on a semi 2v1 and just flubbed a pass right into the defender is a snapshot of who he is as a player right now. If Vesey does that I'm OK with it but a guy like Laf who lit up his opponents at every level before this? Sorry, only the Rangers could drain talent like that.

We are the hockey equivalent of Shang-Tsung from Mortal Kombat. Young players arrive here full of hope and talent and then we destroy their souls.

I'm so fed up watching Kakko come full of energy and drive to the NYR camp every year after a good off season and 10 games into the season he is a pale recluse that has retreated into his shell. Now Laffy has found that place too. The kids would be better off elsewhere where they play modern hockey and get some real support to grow.

Both Chicago and Florida miss him. So when does coaching matter exactly? This team has underperformed. Losing to bad teams, missed opportunities, and blown leads. Tonight was just another example that has been on display all season. Gallant needs to go.

How did Florida miss him? They were 51-18-6 with an interim assistant coach thrust into the role after 7 game who had zero career head coaching experience. His last two years in Chicago were bad and now they just have a horrible roster.
