Yes, a dirty play, but let's ask Matt Calvert how many times that's been done to him when planting in front of the goalie. That is hard ice to play in, pricey real estate, this has always been true and its part of the game. I have no issue with the penalty, even had it been a double minor, but anything more than a 1 game suspension would be out of sync with how the game is played night in night out.
Night in night out? Crosschecks to the neck are not that common. I don't recall this happening with Calvert. Anyone have anything on that? Buff was certainly suspended for crosschecking Miller in the neck. That was 4 games, and more dangerous, so don't expect Dubi to get that much.

That's how I see it. I expect two games. The league can't allow players to cross-check each other in the neck, even if it was accidental.
Watched the game with my daughter and her new boyfriend from college. He's from Oregon and hadn't watched hockey before. Explain many rules and strategic issues as we watch the game. Explain how the Pens and their fans are obnoxious when they come into our building. Explain how they beat us in the play-offs two years ago. After the game and the sweet OT goal by Cam from Dubi, he turns and says to my daughter "I should watch more hockey games." Mission accomplished...thanks CBJ!

I didn't see it but there was a lot of commotion at the top of section 212. I'm in 211 and noticed a lot of security escorting people out after the fact.
I know the solution to this problem is for the locals to sell out the building, but I'm getting sick and tired of Penguins fans "invading" Nationwide.

Johansen strong tonight. Reading through the thread and seeing some complaints about his play. Maybe they were just very early on, or maybe watching on TV didn't give the full measure, but he was real good. And shooting, which has been an issue.
The second cross-check looked vicious, but when I first saw it, it looked like Dubinsky was poking Crosby to say "Seriously? you're down after that? give me a break"
