I actually think another reason clarkson decided to join the leafs (aside from the money, hometown), was that he would be able to finally play his game to the max. He's a tough, skilled, pest type of player and he knew that the leafs were one of the toughest last season and that carlyle is a type of coach who would like his skillset.

I dont know if you guys remember, but pete debour is like the opposite of carlyle. He doesnt want any of his players to get involved in scrums. He doesnt want his players to initiate scrums. He barely dresses any tough guys, so he is really not fond of fighting. He doesnt want his players trashtalking.

I remember clarkson was kind of annoyed by that in an interview during their playoff run two season ago. Its not in his game to stay quiet and not trashtalk and not get involved in scrums.

So i hope he doesnt tone it down, cuz i think it only makes him play better when he is more involved

Leafs blow out teams on random nights, doubt we will blow-out a "sure bet obvious blow-out" injury riddle Blue Jackets. Rather expect a very boring 1-0 win.

Horton, Dubinsky, Gaborik out coming off a long road trip... if the Leafs don't win after the awful last game vs Columbus then they need to have a bag skate

Hey remember when Bozak toe dragged that guy and sniped for his 1st career goal?

I think he has more skill than people like to admit but it seems like playing with Kessel has taken away his creativity... all he does is pass to Kessel because Kessel is way better than him

Yikes Columbus without Gaborik, Horton, or Dubinsky...that's a pretty weak lineup. And don't expect to see a scrap either with Boll being doubtful for the game.

Trap game. I hope the boys learned their lesson against Nashville last week...

Hoping for a big game tonight. We need to come out skating and hitting. if the Leafs put the effort in they should win. But in today's NHL, nothing is a guarantee.
