What in the world is going on with Habs personnel?

Last week, there was this:

This week, in a most bizarre, Cammaleriesque move, Habs goalie coach got knifed:

It has started to feel like this:

Which begs the question ... who's next?

When it rains in your kitchen ... or whatever that saying is -- is what has been happening since the first 10 games of the season.

This is what happens when you get this type of offensive production:

Danault in particular, just notched an unenviable milestone. His last regular season goal occurred on Feb. 29, 2020. And here he is treading dangerously into Scott Gomez territory.

Some are ascribing Danault's woes as mental, further to a contract extension gone awry where he is rumored to have been offered a 6 X 5 deal that he declined on account of demanding a higher salary. And now, that kind of offer is all but impossible given his longstanding struggles.

It seems to have definitely seeped into all aspects of his play ...

Of course, leave it to the Habs to create more drama.

With Carey Price struggling and Waite getting fired in an unusual manner, conspiracy theories have emerged whereby Price is viewed as the ultimate kingmaker, some believing he may have been behind so many from the Habs personnel losing their jobs over his 14-year career.

This was not alleviated by those awkward pressers yesterday by MB and Price -- the latter apparently wasn't consulted, nor notified in advance of Waite's termination.

It even prompted one poster to assert:

Youppi must be shitting his pants.

Tatar - Danault - Gallagher
Lehkonen - Kotkaniemi - Armia
Byron - Evans - Perry

Chiarot - Weber
Edmundson - Petry
Kulak - Romanov

Allen
Price

Jets lineup tonight

Stastny-Scheifele-Wheeler
Connor-Dubois-Ehlers
Copp-Lowry-Appleton
Perreault-Thompson-Lewis

Morrissey-Poolman
Forbort-Pionk
Beaulieu-DeMelo

Hellebuyck

However, there is some good news on the horizon. Coach Dom has finally notched his first win, albeit against a team that had played 4 games in 6 days -- and given that, it was closer than it needed to be.

It's not much, but it's a start. We'll be happy that it won't be a return to this guy's antics.

Great GDT Runner77. Your sense of humour is a perfect recipe for what is going on in Habsland these days.

The Habs were the best team in Saturdays game against the Jets. It will be a small but useful step towards the team gaining their confidence back if they can keep that up and this time get the 2 points.

Informative and accurate GDT.
Nice work

Habs have to win tonight and stay relevant in the hunt for a playoff spot
Relevant?
  • 3-pts behind Edm w 4-games in hand
  • 4-pts behind Jets w game in hand
  • 3-pts up on Cgy w 2-games in hand
They’re already relevant... but yes a little win streak would provide a solid cushion. 3-points over next two games vs Jets would help towards achieving said goal

Awesome job my man! We blew the last OT versus Winnipeg but I did think we played decently. We're definitely playing better last couple games compared to the 10 prior, so let's beat those Jets!

Great Job @Runner77
The thing that makes little sense is indeed Richardson still being employed. I would have bet the farm he would be cut in the first culling given how MB is so in love with his defense and thinks it's a strength. He obviously hasn't seen the pattern yet.
