True. At least so far, but still the recent Avs are notorious for giving Hawks a difficult time, despite their place in the standings (especially with their speed, if we let them free wheel).

The effort on Sunday was disappointing to say the least, and look at the schedule after the Avs game. Hawks will need to be better, much better, to call this road trip any kind of success; and we will start our backup goalie in at least one of those road games.

It was their 3rd game in 4 nights. I think that had something to do with the lackluster effort.

I don't know why people don't get that. It is not just a back to back. Three in 4 with the travel involved is a lot to ask. Guys are not getting proper sleep/rest. You could tell they were gassed.

The effort should be much better tomorrow after a couple days of rest, and they will also be playing a back-to-back after their game tonight.

tough schedule ahead

Those that think the Hawk schedule has not been a relatively easy one, take a look at what's coming up between now and Dec 20/21, when we meet Leafs/Jets again.

And we have the usual road trip in late January. Hawks need to get some consistency in their game going, starting tomorrow.
