I’m afraid they will put Dobby one game too long. They should take their chips and leave the table when ahead.

Go back with Rask and see how much he wants that crease back. He has owned the Pens for years.

Yep, Rask is my guy and for as well as Doby has played, if he sits today and plays vs the Oilers on Sunday and in that short time has all of a sudden "lost" whatever he has found then that`s on him. I play Tuukka vs the Bolts too.

Regarding the Tuukka V Dobby debate i think it would be madness to pull a goalie who is on fire. You guys know the player a lot better than I do but the consensus seems to be that it's only a matter of time before he implodes and costs the Bruins a game, maybe someone can enlighten me as to whether he has a history of this?

Going on what I've seen and heard over the course of the last 3 games, he has earned his starting place. It would seem like madness to drop him now imo.

I would even play Rask on Sunday unless he doesn’t play well today.

How would you feel if say Doby remains "on fire" for say a game today, then comes out, craps the bed vs the Oilers, they then turn to Tuukka who hasn`t played in over a week and he struggles or shows too much signs of rust?

I don`t know, I get the "hot hand" thing, I truly do, and I`m not a fan who worries about the feelings of a player if they get scratched or what have you but at the same time, this is the team`s #1 goalie and he needs to play IMO. I play him today and WHEN he plays well today, and he will, I tell him were giving Doby the start vs the Oil as we need you rested and ready for the Divisional tilt vs the Bolts.

This may go against public opinion here but I`ve never been accused of being two things 1- smart and 2- going along with majority opinions if I feel otherwise

I go with Tuukka vs The Pens. I like Dobby and no question he’s played great but at the same time he’ll tire just like any other goalie and is definitely not used to being a regular starter so should benefit from some rest.

Tuukka today, Dobby vs EDM and whomever played best this weekend vs Tampa.

I`d be tempted to JJ but it`s a slippery slope, with Doby playing well, I still want him to get some starts and not remain on the bench too long which is my only reasoning for putting him in there Sunday vs the Oil, gives him some nice rest, but not too much to lose feel for things.

I don`t believe a guy can lose "it" in a 3-4 day period, but I can see rust creeping in when/once you start looking at longer than a week between starts or thereabouts

I'm beginning to appreciate now that the goalie is one of, if not thee most important player on a hockey team so relying too heavily on one is a dangerous game to play, so I appreciate you need two in form and ready to go goalies to get you through a hectic regular season schedule.

However I'm of the mentality that the number 1 player in any position is the guy that earns it not the guy on the big bucks or whatever else. I'm also of the mentality that you make hay while the sun shines. For me I'd go with Dobby.

For me, money has nothing to do with it, my concern is this, sitting Tuukka for an extended period of time is potentially dangerous and I`m not one who for a second believes that Doby is a guy a team can lean on for significant periods of time. I think, as he`s shown, he can be sharp but there`s a reason he`s 30 ish and hasn`t really been able to lock down a #1 spot in the 3/4 spots he`s been?

Despite Tuukka`s play so far this year, if playoffs started today, he`s my guy

Looking forward tobthos game however ill be missing the first period.
We will have to do it without March who is a Pens killer.
Jake has scored some sniper type goals .teally difficukt to say if he will be able to it consistently....but he sure can pick the pocket. Now if Frankie could start scoring. The team will be even more fun to watch.

I saw an ad somewhere that said so, but I couldn’t tell you what.

NHL.com is 25% off today.

I’m superstitious, so as I drink coffee out of my circa 1982 game day mug, I’m happy to see the minimalist GDT. No offense to your masterpieces, Ali!

That said, I’d go with Tuukka today.

Thanks guys. Missed it, was at the gym trying to sweat out some potatoes and stuffing

I’d either keep rolling Khudobin or play Tuukka today and Dobby the next two. The Pens are probably slower than Edmonton and Tampa, so it would give Khudobin a break and Tuukka an easier start. That’s only if Khudobin needs the day off, otherwise I don’t see the point in sitting him, I want to keep winning games. Tuukka’s had plenty of starts this year and he’s looked rusty in almost all of them.

This is where I am- you play Dobby until he flames out.

Rask is coming back from a concussion so the more rest he gets the better IMO.

B`s have to get shots, Pens I read have given up somewhere around 80 goals thus far, horrific D. I`d like to see the B`s really pursue hard in the O zone, don`t think the Pens D have the skill to relieve the pressure

Khudobin had Tim Thomas like swagger in the game I watched. What an entertaining goalie.

Hope he gets the the start today.

Are there Black Friday deals at the pro shop? I forget.

Mom wants a jersey for Christmas, May as well go for it today if there’s a sale.

Fanatics has 25% off site wide as well fyi. Off the pro shop doesn't have the jersey she wants.
