Wright only played 6 minutes last night. If Hakstol isn't going to play him more, having Geekie to take draws in key situations is probably something Hakstol missed. They were pretty miserable on draws last night.

The bigger issue I have with it is that Geekie is skating with Donato and Kuhlman.

Donato and Geekie had zero chemistry last year despite playing together a bunch of times, they play such different styles. Kuhlman and Donato play an exclusive N-S game. Geekie has to play with guys that utilize space and move the puck to be effective.

Seems like a clearly bad decision on paper.
