Absolutely and the talent of those better picks the Oilers got is certainly shining as of late.

Maybe it's not important, but only two of those #1OA picks are still with the Oilers - Nugent-Hopkins and McDavid. Hall and Yakupov are both with new teams.

It's very important and shows the difficulty in assimilating to the NHL game. Be it an ability to literally "pan out", or fit in with a given group of teammates. However it's not just the 1OA's.... after all, by comparison - How many 1OA's have we had?
