Yep, even with Karlsson in the lineup it wasn't that great overall. Defence should be

Cowen-Gonchar
Phillips-Lundin

Yeah.. not very impressive either now with all the injuries we have Wiercioch and Benoit playing alot. Wiercioch is good offensively but needs work in his own end and Benoit is just so average.

Bishop on the other hand had one great game and on terrible one so far so we'll see which one shows up. I'm honestly expecting Kovalchuk and Elias to light it up and you guys to win in a blow out lol.

Salvador is the team Captain: Can't sit
Zidlicky is the PP specialist: Can't sit
A-Train is the PK specialist: Can't sit
Fayne is the Real deal: Can't sit
Greene is the Real deal: Can't sit
Larsson is the Real deal: Can't sit


But at ES, I'd take Tallinder over Salvador, A-Train and maybe Zids.

Greene and Larsson are playing very well.
Salvador is the captain.
Volchenkov is the PK specialist
Zidlicky is the PP specialist.
Fayne and Tallinder therefore are interchangeable.

Pretty much every Devils fan prefers Fayne over Tallinder, and Fayne also gives us a balance of three left handers and three right handers, whereas with Tallinder we have 4L and 2R.

He's a good player, just no room for him here. Combine that with we have Harrold, who is a perfect 7D, Devils fans just want him out of here right now. I think Lou might be showcasing him at the moment like he did with Palmieri and Veillieux before we acquired Zidlicky.

Just a numbers game right now. We have 7 NHL ready defenseman and a pretty good fill in with Peter Harrold. We were rolling pretty well defensively with Tallinder out of the lineup, so I think that has put him out of favor with the majority of the fan base.

To go along with that, we need a forward and many of us think he would provide a decent return in a trade.
