We need at least a point tonight. Hart has been struggling, so we'll see what kind of game he can put together.

He's struggled against Dallas (Oct. 19) and NYI (Oct. 27). Looks like he was pulled in the NYI game. He also did not play a full game against the Pens on Oct. 29, where he allowed one goal in 18:42 of TOI.

Which brings us to his last two games before tonight.

He gave up three goals on Nov. 1 vs. NJD, but the Flyers won in what was said to be a strong performance.

And, his last game played was against the Canes where he only gave up one goal and the Flyers won that too.

Looking at an account about the Canes game re Hart:

Hart was very good. Especially early in the game when the ‘Canes ambushed the Flyers with their speed and forecheck, a growing concern for the Flyers, who can’t seem to find any consistency on their breakouts and still give away the puck far too frequently in their own end.

But, on this night, Hart was a difference maker. Mistake after mistake kept coming back at him and he turned away every shot that he had a legitimate chance to stop.

Carolina was able to get five shots on goal in the opening 90 seconds of the game. Think about that pace for a second.

And it didn’t slow from there. Carolina actually had a 10-1 shot advantage before the Flyers got going later in the first period. It didn’t get much better in the second, but the Flyers finally found themselves in the third as Travis Konecny scored the game-winner and Joel Farabee and Claude Giroux added insurance markers for a very good win for the Flyers over a team they will likely be chasing for much of the season.

...

This season alone he’s had lights out performances against New Jersey and now Carolina and he’s had forgettable outings against Edmonton and the New York Islanders.

Therrien was a pretty good coach. Never understood why people hated him so much. I guess haters gonna hate.

Gaston Therrien is that you?

In all seriousness however he was an okay coach. Not great or even good most of the time but not necessarily bad either.

Like I said, haters gonna hate.

No discussion is possible with Therrien haters.

They take it as an axiom and fly away with it.

Watched some of Flyers Leafs recently. Flyers are getting close to being a good team again, good young talent.

They have been developing several young dmen at the same time, similar to what the Islanders did. Niskanen was a nice add. Konecny looks like a good one. Strong in net. Still have guys like Giroux, Voracek, Van Riemsdyk.

Should be a good test.

Most people on here aren't actually blind haters though. They just call it how they saw it with Therrien. If he was actually good wouldn't he be a head coach right now ?

What is really going to get interesting is who will be moved when KK becomes eligible to re-enter the lineup.

TRANSLATION: Julien says that KK won't be playing tonight. He is still on the IR. He's hoping to bring KK back by the game on Saturday.
