This is the scirpt, right? Half way though we're on pace for 12 shots in the game. Of course, the Wings will be up by 2 or more goals going into the 3rd, so they'll sit back. And we'll get 10+ shots in the 3rd while they collapse, so at the end it won't seem like our team didn't show up. IF you look only at the full game stats. But we didn't show up. Not when it mattered.

I used to play in an indoor soccer league where if you were down 5 goals, you could have an extra player on the field until you cut it to four. Maybe the NHL can adopt that rule?
