Usually I don't mind the Islanders announcers.....they generally don't whine nearly as much as other teams (although that 63 comment was bad), at other points they were praising 63 and his play.

I think I have heard them say in the past that the Bruins are what the Islanders want to become

Their success really is in their structure. Every person does their job, that’s why even when they don’t play well they are still winning or always in a game. It’s very disciplined hockey. All that is missing is an attitude needed for the playoffs, hopefully Lucic and JVR help supply that. If they can get that mentality along with the dedication to the structure they could go far.

..after that last game against the Bruins, Detroit would've had to call up a few extra players to fill out their roster

Right! I'm 33 and feel lucky that I saw a Cup just after I turned 21yo. Best summer of my life(sports wise).

Overall I'd say more disappointment and heartbreaking losses than success.

Case of a lot of clubs.
