I don’t blame the Leafs for giving him a legit chance but I just don’t see Vesey in this line up much longer. Robertson Engvall are much better players. Need to see more of Anderson. Go buds

Agreed. I had higher hopes for Vesey to actually contribute but he’s just not very good...

Bo Horvat isn't worried, neither am I. Bring half the effort as the last game and we should win rather easily.

The stats and eye test say otherwise.

Also not talked about is the fact that he is one of the best PK guys in the league right now.

Our PK is ranked 23 so no he isn't you can't be one of NHL's best PK players when the PK sucks.

It hasn't mattered at all because the PP has been clicking at 40+% all season but the PK sucks Which is amazing because Manny Malholtra was a PK guy

The Canucks look exhausted and broken down. They might come out harder in the first, but if we get a two goal lead they will pack it.
Seems like the coach gave the team a fail safe if they want to fall back on "tired legs" and a unfair bloated schedule.

Get at them early and make em think about going home.
If you want to look at a real test, this is it. Put your foot on the throat of a down team, and complete it - we've had issues doing that (putting up a converted TD on thurs helped; but keep it going)

dang. really want to see engvall get a look in vesey's place there.

Agreed, not sure what he brings to the team exactly?

He can skate, but doesn't really go anywhere.

He's big, but doesn't play physical.

He's not sound defensively.

I don't get it.

His father works for the team iirc...his play certainly hasn't been deserving of a spot in the lineup. Vesey is the definition of a vanilla player, invisible on the ice in all aspects. Either get Engvall in there or find another Simmonds type to replace Vesey on that 3rd line.

Hoping for another beat down. Can't stand Canuck fans. They were on such a high horse after the bubble. Looks like Markstrom was doing an exceptional job at masking a lot of defensive issues. Its funny because the Leafs are always accused of this issue with Andersen.

Of course you can be. That’s like saying McDavid isn’t the best player because Edmonton hasn’t won anything.
