I thought Domi had a bad game....he's aroud the puck, but forces it too much at timess...He needs to pot one to get some confidence going.

He is a case study in poor shot selection right now. I think he has ants in his pants with all the talk around Keller. They really should move him to Dvorak's line.

Agreed. It genuinely looks like he wants to outplay Keller, like he's jealous or something

As I keep saying, Perlini on the end of Keller's setups could be a thing of beauty. Tocc pls.

Random thought: Alex Goligoski has been a huge disappointment. What the **** man? Pull your head out of your ass Goligoski. May be the one player over the last two years that was most capable of changing the outcomes of games positively that never seemed to. Biggest underachiever award for me goes to Goligoski. He looks a whole lot like a guy who took a fat deal to relax in a low pressure sunshine market and coast his way to retirement. Mailing it in. If he keeps it up, Chayka should put him on waivers. He'd probably clear. Send a message. If he doesn't? Cleared up budget space to go to market and try again.
I KNEW this would work!!!

Goligoski looked like shit in the 3rd. I'm always amazed by his bad body language. He's gotta be the furthest thing from a leader. Keller put it on a plate for him and he managed to not screw it up, thankfully.

Still think he and Schenn are the two problem children on the backend.

First of all, I didn't catch the number of the two failed clearing attempts.
Literally all you had to say before lol. That explains why only one player was named. There was also martinook who blew the coverage, I didn't catch the other failed clearing attempt either.

Second, a missed clear is not the same as missing your man in front of the net when that's your only job.
True, he f***ed up big time. Martinook also flubbed his coverage, which isn't as bad as in Schenn's case but is also inexcusable. Schenn should be reliable in that situation if he wants to stay in the lineup, he was not.

I don't know why you've chosen to be a Stan for a D that can only play one phase of the game and continues to play that one phase incredibly poorly. That's on you. You swear he can handle the puck yet he continually passes straight to the opposition, if he even manages to make a decision before the forecheck is upon him. He's a pylon of a player and has been his entire career. He took an incredibly selfish penalty to boot, and was only bailed out by the refs doing something unusual. He should absolutely come out of the lineup tomorrow but he'll probably be saved by Hammer's injury.
Not sure what a Stan is, south park reference?

He's far from EK with the puck, and he almost never makes e a stretch pass, but he's is also far from a turnover machine, last two games excluded (remember prior to his putrid last two games he actually had the least turnovers of our dmen, he's probably middle of the pack now). He consistently made smart safe plays. You could argue that he doesn't fit our system since he doesn't stretch the ice, and I'd agree.

His top end speed is crap sure, but I wouldn't say he's a pylon. As long as he doesn't get caught deep and has some space to give he usually does fine. Recently it looks like he's tried to be more aggressive, and just lacks the speed to get back. Again I would't argue that he doesn't fit our system.

That penalty was crap. We need a defensive player with some edge, but he can't lose his cool there.

He was godawful today, one of him or kconn need to sit as long as hammer can play.
D are paid to be in position, calm, and make good decisions. Schenn does none of those things.
Generally I think he has, but he needs to pull his head out of his ass. If he keeps playing like this he won't be on the ice.

TLDR
If he played all season like he has the last two games, I wouldn't say a word in his defense. If he keeps this up, I also won't. I just found/find it odd when he's the main name I see brought up when kconn is out there doing the same or worse, and demers and goose keep being huge wastes of cap space and money(much better games for those two today though). Our D core in general has been ass outside of hammer (OEL gets a pass for being hurt), not just Schenn.

I still really like the idea of:

Perlini Stepan Keller
Domi Dvo Duke

Keller generates way too much of our offense, someone else needs to drive the play. Domi may be better on a line where he's the focal point.

He's a specialist. I don't f*** with specialists, especially specialists that don't do what they're special at. He can hurt guys on routine hits and nobody wants to really fight him. That's it. In exchange for that, he has a long list of flaws. I think that spot is better used by other players is all. I look forward to Chychrun arising and hopefully pushing him or Kconn out of the lineup.

He is an extremely poor fit for what this team is trying to do.

Outside of the bolded I agree 100%, especially with the last sentence. If he plays like he has the last two games for much longer I agree with all of it.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing this when Chychrun arise Chychrun arises.

OEL hammer
Chychrun Demers (cross our fingers we get lots of the Demers from this game and not from the Dallas game)
Goose clendening
Schenn

Kconn in Tucson.

Clendening wasn't amazing when he played, but I'd like to see what he can do on the 3rd pairing. He seemed to improve as each game went on.

Domi's been playing like he's on speed or something. he'll be all alone with plenty of time and space and he decides to stickhandle like a madman, bobble the puck, and then proceed to throw it away or lose a board battle.

Also. this team looks so different with Perlini. Teams have to respect his size, speed and shot and that allows him to gain zone entries, which something that second line was really struggling with.

If we lose, I'm blaming RR.
Not sure why you singled me out if we lost so do I get credit for the win?

Domi looks like yet another Coyote prospect with huge potential yet leaving us wanting more. Just another Boedker. I hope I'm wrong. But right now he and Keller aren't in the same league.

I don't think Domi looks like he wants to leave or anything, but he's definitely having issues with Keller being the star.

He's over doing everything right now. Shooting when he should pass, trying to make no look passes to the middle over and over when he can just make a simple pass. There were even a few games where he would opt for a horrible shot instead of getting the puck to a wide open Keller.
